Designed for leisurely country flying, the Champion was a pleasant tandem 2-seater aircraft. Easy to fly and available at low cost, it was one of the "puddle-jumpers" that emerged during the post WWII aviation boom.
This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, laser cut balsa parts and hand-picked balsa strip wood, vacuum-molded cowl, rubber motor, 10" E-B propeller, EBM thrust bearing, wheels, Easy Built Lite yellow tissue, and LaserCal™ markings. To build this model you will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.
CUSTOMER BUILDS & INFO
"Tissue is just good old Esaki. It's just so easy to work with, and it seems that most people do the LC-04 in a civil scheme, so this is just a simple military version with photocopied/sanded paper insignia. Turned out at 56 grams. It's actually a really pretty model!" - Henry Toews
"Just completed your Aeronca Champion kit LC-04. Great wood and clean laser cutting. An easy build, and a great looking model when finished. Will be entering it in Golden Age Civil class at our upcoming Flying Aces contest Nov 13 in San Diego. Thanks for keeping stick and tissue alive." - Mark Chomyn
