This highly successful WWII British bomber was used to carry the "Grand Slam" a 22,000 pound bomb designed to explode beneath the surface in an earthquake effect. It was used in the "Dambusters" raid and the attack which sunk the German Battleship Tirpitz. The Avro Lancaster Bomber is a 1:32 scale display model. Pre-1942 design, eligible for Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests.
This display model kit contains a full-size rolled plan, printed balsa and hand-picked balsa strip wood, vacuum-molded canopy and 4 gun turrets, wheels, Tissuecal™ markings, and Easy Built Lite olive green tissue. To build this model you will need a building board set, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.
