Baby FLea built by Rick Pendzick featuring a dummy engine.
Hi Dave, The plan came from an old friend and flying buddy, Paul Penna. He had bought a kit in Toronto, Ontario in the 1960's back when EBM was still in Canada. Anyway, he kept the old plan using it to build another version for Telco CO2 power with micro-RC. On seeing this fly so well, I now have built one as well.
Seeing that the angles were 0-0-0 (prop-wing-tail), I extended the top, straight longeron over the cabin area to give approximately +2 degrees. I sanded the front of the fuselage to provide a couple of degrees of down thrust. The front formers are 1/32" covered with a soft balsa block at the nose to seat a Williams Bros engine cylinder. The rear peg was brought forward one space, using a more standard aluminium tube. The only issue I face is a warped tail which I might have to re-cover with some reinforcements. Glides like a charm! All the best, Adrian
