This Curtiss Robin kit is a 1:33 scale flying model. Its pre-1942 design is eligible for Flying Aces Club Dime Scale and Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests. Curtiss Airplane produced the popular Curtiss Robin mail plane until 1932. Douglas ‘Wrong-Way‘ Corrigan flew the Curtiss Robin J-1 Special airplane in 1943. He wanted permission to fly nonstop from NY to Ireland but was refused. Instead he got ‘lost‘ after leaving NY and ended up in Ireland.

This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled CAD drawn plan, laser cut balsa parts and hand-picked balsa stripwood, rubber motor, E-B propeller, EBM thrust bearing, clear plastic for the windshield, wheels, landing gear wire, and Easy Built Lite tissue in yellow for the wings and either orange or deep sky blue for the fuselage. To build this kit you will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.
