The Hurricane was designed by Sydney Camm of Hawker Aircraft Ltd. in 1933. It was the first Royal Air Force monoplane fighter and its first to exceed 300 MPH. Introduced in 1935, the Hurricane entered service in December 1937. It was a rugged and sturdy aircraft coupled with a Rolls-Royce Goshawk engine. In August 1940 during the Battle of Britain, Hurricanes brought down more enemy aircraft than all other defenses combined.

This Hawker Hurricane kit is a 1/24 scale, rubber powered flying model. Pre-1942 design, eligible for Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests.

This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, printed balsa and hand-picked balsa strip wood, rubber motor, E-B propeller, EBM thrust bearing, clear plastic for the windshield, wheels, landing gear wire, TissueCal™ markings, and Easy Built Lite tissue in olive green and light sky blue. To build this kit you will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.
