The Auster was designed at the end of the 1930s for observation patrols in Great Britain. Today, we're bringing back this popular aircraft in a new release of the vintage Modelcraft design, a wonderful lightweight flyer.

This kit is a 1:18 scale flying model with updated plans. featuring a removable nose block and window patterns. Plan also includes original step-by-step isometric drawings to guide construction. Pre-1942 design is eligible for Golden Age Civil, Old Time Kit Scale, Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) and Scale contests.

This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, printed balsa and hand-picked balsa stripwood, rubber motor, E-B propeller, EBM thrust bearing, wire, wheels, Easy Built Lite tissue in olive green and desert tan, clear plastic for the windshield (includes a template for cutting), and TissueCal™ markings. To build this model you will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.

"Here are some pictures of the Easybuilt Auster that I built while stationed in Korea. The model was a bit of a challenge to build but thanks to your help it came out great! This airplane also turned out to be an awsome flyer, consistently doing 45 seconds in dead air. Lost it when it landed in some really tall trees so I'm ordering another one!" - Javier S. Amador
