"I've enclosed 4 pictures of my 36" Easy Built Lysander, built over the last 10 years (would you believe). I've made a few modifications en route to enable transportation and crash resistance. Namely: removable wings on 1/32" wire dowels, removable struts (1/32" wire and 1/16" tubes), removable U/C (on 20 swg wire), moulded front canopy, strengthening of tailplane and fin/rudder, and moving the rear motor peg forward. The final result is finished in prototype colours and weighs just 120 gm ready to fly, which makes it very slow and very realistic in flight - she always gets an audience! I still need to make a tailwheel, covers for the wheels and some gills for the motor, but that should happen in the longterm.....maybe ;-) The model is rubber powered. Initial test flights were on 1 loop of 1/4" FAI SuperSport but she's currently on 3 loops of 1/8" SuperSport. The prop is a Peck 9.5". Flight time is around 30 seconds, but she's not fully trimmed yet and I'm expecting over a minute when she's fully up to speed." - Andy Sephton British Aeromodeller, Sandy, Bedfordshire, England
"My 36" Lysander built for display. Challenging kit but enjoyed building it." - Ronald Lind
