The Phantom is a great plane for endurance contest flying. It is a beautiful model to fly, but bring binoculars because this one takes long flights. Pre-1942 design, eligible for Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests.
This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, laser cut balsa parts and hand-picked balsa stripwood, rubber motor, 12" EB propeller, EBM thrust bearing, clear plastic for the windshield, wheels, wire, and Easy Built Lite tissue in a variety of bright colors. You will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.
CUSTOMER BUILDS & INFO
"I started your Phantom on 1 August and finished it this morning. The wood quality was excellent. With scraps in the shop I built a 16 inch, maybe a tad less, what I hope is a bullet proof free wheeler prop. In addition I added a clock driven dethermalizer from an old gas free flight model. The result is a bit of a lead sled that I will try out this weekend at the local baseball complex as a coup de hiver variation at low power." - Colin McKenzie
