Designed by Walter and Siegfried Günter of Ernst Heinkel Flugzeugwerke company and first flown in September 1935. The He 112 was a low wing monoplane fighter . It's obscurity is likely best understood by considering the fame of the plane it lost the competition to, the Messerschmitt Bf 109. The early He 112 models submitted for testing were inferior to the Messerschmitt Bf 109; they were a blend of old and new features that couldn't compete with the all-modern 109. The He 112 was not as successful as the Bf 109 but it was used by the armies of Germany, Romania, Japan, Hungary and Spain.

This kit is a 1:15 scale flying model. Pre-1942 design, eligible for Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests.

This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, hand-picked printed balsa and balsa strip wood, vacuum-molded canopy and spinner, rubber motor, E-B propeller, EBM thrust bearing, wheels, landing gear wire, TissueCal™ markings, and Easy Built Lite tissue in evergreen and light gray. To build this model you will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.
